What is a RGB LED? A RGB LED is a combination of an integrated circuit and 3 seperate Light Emmiting Diodes. (L.E.D.s) working together. The 3 RGB LEDs are made up of Red, Green, & Blue Diodes. Each of the sources are able to turn on independantly with the control of 3 seperate circuit values. RGB color mixing is an additive procedure where you add each primary color to achieve alternate colors. With additive color mixing you have the capibility of generating over 16.3 million color combinations when you have RGB LEDs mixing together. RGB LEDs are manufactured by a wide variety of OEMs. Common RGB LEDs are: Luxeon Stars Lamina Ceramincs. |
